My room was actually more spacious than I expected, with that clean, minimalist aesthetic that works so well in the Greek islands. The air conditioning worked perfectly (crucial in July), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that makes you want to stay in there longer than necessary. Here’s the thing about Agios Ioannis beach — it’s where they filmed parts of “Shirley Valentine” back in the day, but more importantly, it’s got this perfect mix of organized beach clubs and quieter stretches where you can just spread out a towel. From Mykonos Moussa, you’re literally a three-minute walk to some of the best sunset views on the island. I spent most evenings down there with a drink, watching the sun drop behind Delos island. The beach faces west, so the sunsets are honestly spectacular, and you don’t have to fight crowds like you do at some of the more famous spots.
