Walking up to M Residence Little Venice, you immediately get why this three-star place has such a stellar reputation. It’s tucked right into the heart of Mýkonos City, and I mean really in the thick of things — you can practically hear the buzz of the old town from your window. The building itself has that classic Cycladic charm with crisp white walls, but there’s something refreshingly understated about it that I actually preferred to some of the flashier places nearby.

Location Magic

Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable. You’re literally steps away from Little Venice (hence the name), where you can grab sunset drinks with your toes practically in the water. The famous windmills? Maybe a three-minute walk. What I loved most was being able to duck back to the hotel whenever the crowds got overwhelming — and trust me, they do in Mykonos. You know what’s great? You can walk to everything without needing taxis or that chaotic bus system the island’s known for.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but smartly designed — typical for Greek island properties, really. The bed was comfortable enough, and the air conditioning worked like a dream (crucial in summer). The bathroom was small but functional, with decent water pressure which honestly surprised me. What really made the space work was the little balcony — not huge, but perfect for morning coffee while watching the town wake up below. The décor kept things simple with white linens and pops of blue, nothing fancy but it felt clean and fresh.

Daily Rhythms

There’s no on-site restaurant, but that’s actually a blessing in disguise because you’re surrounded by incredible tavernas and cafés. I’d grab breakfast at one of the nearby spots — there’s this little place around the corner that does amazing Greek yogurt with honey. The staff at M Residence was genuinely helpful with recommendations, and they seemed to actually know the neighborhood rather than just rattling off tourist traps. Parking isn’t available here, but honestly, you don’t want a car in this part of town anyway.

Why Guests Love It

What sets this place apart is really the combination of that prime location and the fact that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-run guesthouse that puts you right where you want to be without breaking the bank. Couples seem to particularly love it here — I can see why, since you can easily slip away from the crowds but still be in the center of everything. The 9.4 rating makes total sense when you consider you’re getting genuine Mykonos charm without the premium resort prices. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with amenities, but sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just get the basics absolutely right.
