First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Boheme Beach Houses on Elia Beach, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — the name suggests something artsy and bohemian, but this four-star property actually strikes a perfect balance between laid-back charm and polished comfort. The free private parking was a relief (trust me, you’ll appreciate this on Mykonos), and the whole setup feels more like staying at a stylish friend’s beach house than a typical hotel.

Location & Beach Access

Elia Beach is sort of the sweet spot on Mykonos — far enough from the party chaos of Paradise Beach to actually get some sleep, but still lively enough that you won’t feel stranded. What I love about this location is that you’re literally steps from one of the island’s best organized beaches, with those iconic blue and white umbrellas stretching along golden sand. The couples who stay here clearly get it — there’s something romantic about having this gorgeous stretch of coastline practically at your doorstep, especially during those magical sunset hours when the beach bars start lighting up.

The Accommodations

Each beach house feels surprisingly spacious and private, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to escape the crowds. My room had this clean, minimalist vibe with white-washed walls and pops of blue that somehow manage to feel fresh rather than cliché. The best part? You can actually hear the waves from your bed — not the thumping bass from nearby clubs that you get at some other Mykonos spots. The houses are designed so you get plenty of natural light during the day, but you can also create that cozy, dimmed atmosphere in the evenings.

Breakfast & Dining

The continental breakfast here is honestly better than I expected — nothing too fancy, but they’ve got quality ingredients and that breakfast-to-go option is genius if you want to catch an early ferry or head out for a day trip to Delos. There’s no full-service restaurant on-site, but honestly, that works in your favor because Elia Beach has some fantastic tavernas within walking distance. I mean, you’re on a Greek island — you should be eating fresh seafood with your toes in the sand anyway.

What really sets Boheme Beach Houses apart is how it manages to feel both secluded and connected at the same time. You get that peaceful, away-from-it-all vibe during the day, but when you want action, the beach scene is right there, and you can catch a bus or taxi to Mykonos Town pretty easily.
